Who's Daryl Anton?

He started in Music at the age of 7 at the Conservatory: Guillermo Tomas, in Havana, Cuba. In this way he began his specialization in the Transverse Flute. On the island, he is one of the founders of the FESTVIEN: Festival of Wind Instruments. He was a select student of the renowned flutist, composer and conductor: José Luis Cortés, in his improvisation workshop for Transverse Flute. Upon completing the Higher Level on the island, he is recognized as the best graduate at the national level in his specialty and travels to Mexico to start a Bachelor's degree at UNAM: National Autonomous University of Mexico, an institution in which he is the winner of the national selection contest. and he receives a scholarship for his studies. Here he is an outstanding student of the renowned and emblematic international flutist: Alejandro Escuer. He is titled with Honorable Mention and several recognitions for his development as a flute player. During this period he is 1st flutist of the UNAM Symphonic Band and interpreter in new music recitals for the postgraduate chair. In his evolution as an instrumentalist he has appeared in other countries such as Canada, France, Spain, the United States and Ecuador, where he taught a seminar for the Ambato Conservatory of Music, aimed at students and teachers of Flute Traversa.

 

He has given concerts in important rooms in Mexico. He receives a distinguished recognition from the ENM library for spreading New Music for Flute by Mexican composers in his 1st record production. He has taught numerous master classes and conferences on topics related to musical appreciation and performance. He receives recognition for his participation in the Gaviota international awards. He was a member of the musical production of Ricardo Montaner in his concerts at the National Auditorium and Gardens of Mexico. It was presented at various CERVANTINO Festivals and at the JazzMex Jazz Festival 2016. For 5 years he was Artistic Director of the Youth Philharmonic of Cuernavaca UNINTER.

He is currently a teacher of Flute, Saxophone and Improvisation at the Morelense Center for the Arts. He is a professor of Flute, Saxophone and Auditory Training at the University of La Salle, Cuernavaca. He is a teacher of Flute, Saxophone, Orchestral Ensembles, Musical Initiation Workshops, Choral Conducting and ensemble at the School of Theater, Dance and Music of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos. He is Artistic Director of the Youth Orchestra of the La Salle University in Cuernavaca. Production member of the National Auditorium and Gardens of Mexico. Flutist of IL DIVO
